• Description: The Lournie Chipper is situated at the other end of Laurencekirk. Before the Tower Restaurant opened, some school kids came here for lunch, but not anymore.
  
  Also, there is a sweet shop attatched to the takeaway, which is one of the hotspots for the teenagers to loiter around.

Muffins Coffee Shop (restaurant, takeaway)

• Description: Situated in the middle of the High Street, Muffins opened a few years ago, and serves homemade food, soups and cakes, not to mention their delicious smoothies.

Oriental Cottage (takeaway)

• Description: The Oriental Cottage is, as the name suggests a Chinese takeaway. Situated on the high street, it is hard to imagine Laurencekirk without this convenience, pulling in crowds 6 nights a week.
• However, unfortunately Laurencekirk is home to a lot of small minded, ignorant people, and the staff of this outlet sometimes have to put up with hassle from these idiots.

Robertsons Bakers

• Description: This Baker is situated on the gih street located between the Spar and the Post Office.
• The sausage rolls they sell here are a personal favourite of mine is the sausage rolls from there!

Tower Restaurant (restaurant, takeaway)

• Description: The Tower Restaurant is one of two chip shops in Laurencekirk, except this one has a restaurant.
  
  Situated across from the Secondary School, it is a prime location for teenagers on their lunch break.

Crown Hotel

• Description: The Crown Hotel is fairly central to Laurencekirk. It draws in a large crowd most weekends, with a wide age range.
  
  The back part of the Crown can be hired out for birthdays or occasions, and you can hire a DJ too.
  
  The Crown Hotel also runs quizzes from time to time.

Royal Hotel

• Address: Conveth Place, Laurencekirk, AB30 1AD.
• Phone number: (01561) 377487
• Description: The Royal Hotel is situated near the bottom end of Laurencekirk. It is a bit hit and miss on whether it will be busy or not at the weekends. From my experience, the Royal does not pull in as young a crowd as the Crown, but rather a slightly older crowd.
  
  The Royal Hotel has tables you can use if it's a nice day outside.

Western Inn

• Description: The Western Inn is at opposite end to the Royal, but they are similar.
  
  Like the Crown, the Western has a back room which can be used for parties and meals.
  
  In Laurencekirk, the Western is known as an old man's pub, but its a nice place to start the evening, or end it.
